Welcome to the style guide for TeeKay-421 vzw. Here you will find a list of technical specs when working with TeeKay-421.

If these guidelines will not be met, your artwork will not be suitable for print! 

For Designers

Magazine Front Cover

Magazine Front Cover Template (Right mouse click, save as)

Technical Specs:

  • 3744 px height (A4 + 1 cm margin on top and 1 cm margin on bottom)
  • 2597 px width (A4 + 1 cm margin on the right)
  • 300 DPI
  • PNG

Our magazine masthead is designed to interact with your artwork. So when designing please keep the template in mind when composing your design. If you are unsure, contact Kris (kris@krisvandesande.be). He will gladly assist you. The spot color of the magazine will be matched to your artwork. You can always suggest colours. Be Bold! If the top area of your art is too bright, we will add a gradient below the logo to make it more legible.

Please deliver the cover with two separate PNG files. One of the interacting element on top, one of the complete background. These files should not include any part of the template.

You are allowed to sign your artwork on the lower left, within the margins.

Do not add crop marks or any other marks to your artwork.

Fill the entire template with art, but put nothing of value in the red parts, as they will be cut off.

Magazine Back Cover

TeeKay Style

The logo color is either TeeKay Blue on a white background, or the opposite.

In special cases, the logo can be in black. Check with kris@krisvandesande.be for specifics.

TeeKay Blue is CMYK: C: 80 M: 30 Y: 15 K: 25, RGB: #007197, Pantone 7697 C, White. 

Fonts

The TeeKay font for titles is Meta Bold Roman, which you can find here.
The TeeKay font for body text is Trebuchet MS.

Voor schrijvers

TeeKay’s full name is TeeKay-421 vzw. This full name should be used at least once in the publication. Any other times the name may be truncated to TeeKay-421.

Magazine teksten & spelling: Artikels worden geschreven in Word (liefst .doc, .odt of .docx), liefst in lettertype Verdana .9. Belangrijk is dat het artikel geen foto’s bevat en geen specifieke lay-out (enkel beperkt met bold en italic werken mag). Regelafstand 1 wordt gehanteerd.

Lengte van artikels:
1 pagina: 600 – 700 woorden (met meerdere foto’s)
1 pagina: 750 – 900 woorden (met een grote foto)
2 pagina’s: 1.600 – 1.800 woorden

Spelling: Volgende spellingwijze dient te worden gevolgd. ‘Star Wars’, A New Hope, Episode IV, Ep. IV, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, ‘Star Wars’-film, SW-film, ‘Battlefront’ (games), ‘Heir to the Empire’ (novels), “Spark of Rebellion” (episodes van SW-serie), Millennium Falcon (naam van een schip).
